Diversity and Inclusion

What are these pages for?

The Demosthenian Literary Society is a 200-year-old organization founded by white graduates of the University of Georgia in 1803. In the past members of the society have upheld a rhetoric of hate, segregation, and racism. As part of the society’s continued efforts to acknowledge Demosthenian’s past, this page and its subpages serve to address this history and the ways Demosthenian is advocating inclusivity today.
